Based on 360-degree video and VR glasses, storytelling is examined in an open universe where the audience’s point of view determines the development and perception of the overall experience.

How to tell stories in a universe where the audience helps to determine the point of view? How does the actor relate to the open perspective? Where is the plot located? How do you ensure that the audience gets a unified and coherent experience?

The workshop contains a number of choices about presentation, distribution and evaluation of the audience’s experience. Should it be livestreamed? Is it a virtual experience or a mix between VR and reality?

There is a production room available as well as lighting and sound equipment. In addition, 360-degree cameras, video editing as well as VR glasses and settlement equipment.

The course will mainly work in proven workflows, and it is not intended to be technically heavy, but more intended as a search of the XR format in a live context.

During the course, there will be presentations about, and concrete tests of, XR technologies in performing arts contexts and audience relations in a virtual universe.
