World Devising Workshop

Teacher: Simon Jon Andreasen

Imagine of Tolkien and Shakespear had a gaming engine and could build their universe so that you could enter it and create films, books, plays, games, comics and more?

In may and june 2020 I am doing a workshop in conjunction with my artistic research project Devising Worlds. In the project I and set designer Sigi Oli Palmason and writer Cecilie Eken are developing a new method for creating fictional universes by using theater devising (improvisation) and gaming technology (ao. Motion capture). In may and June we will run a series of workshops which allows artists to enter a universe called Ø and devise glimpses, scenes, images. We will be playing with acting, digital motion capture and gaming engines.

Who: All artists can participate. Music, painting, acting, designing, directing …

Where: In the tv-studio at the National Film School

When: we don’t have set dates. But will set up a series of workshops through out may and June.

How to participate: drop us a line about who you are and when you have time

The project is inspired by my artistic research project Storyworlds 2.0:
