Poetics of sound and sonic dramaturgy

In this workshop, the students will be confronted with alternative strategies while producing art, based on Yann Coppier’s research work on sound and the absurd.

Artistic education, BA and MA level. The main teaching language is English.

CONTENTS

From finding movement into empty spaces to recording below silence, from bringing reality into the virtual world to creating new realities based on the virtual, from approaching a building with a partner to performing with a building as a partner. The material developed should help students from any background generate new, exciting material by questioning the very nature of what they are supposed to do, as they learn to create innovation based on meaning instead of technology.
